The Town Highway Superintendent is responsible for managing and maintaining all town highways and bridges in accordance with state Department of Transportation regulations. This role includes overseeing all roads and bridges within town jurisdiction, ensuring they remain in good repair, and coordinating snow removal and the clearing of obstructions. The superintendent conducts biannual inspections of bridges, typically in April and October, and works year-round to maintain safe and passable travel conditions for the public.
